Hey There, I'm Anne!

Yes, just Anne. :)

But why Anne Anna Anita?

Anne is my real name.

"Anna" is what my mom would call me when I was in trouble.

"Anita" is what my friends would fondly call me.

Different names for the same person, but each one carries its own collection of memories along with hearing that name.

My mother is no longer here on earth, but I love to still hear the name "Anna" in my head, even if she was yelling for me to take out the trash. I close my eyes and see her - fondly this time, and not with frustration. Haha!

As I look back, I realize that my mother made sure to always have some kind of camera in the house - from disposable point and shoot film cameras to eventually a 5 MP digital camera. When I got to college, my mother passed along her Minolta X700 manual film camera to me for my elective in photography. It was then that I realized I loved photographs and feelings they evoke.

I found joy in photographing. And It was a personal joy... at first.

A few people saw my photographs and asked me to photograph for them and (thankfully!) they found joy in my photographs as well.

As I photograph for you, I hope that you find joy in my photographs... and remember the memories behind each photograph.
